The Penticton Sno-Trackers have a long, proud history of snowmobiling in the South Okanagan. The club's original establishment dates back to 1969, making it the third longest running club in British Columbia.
We're were able to locate the original club constitution from 1969, which listed the founding board of directors. Founders included Ryan Conley (President), Mel Archer (Vice President), Jean Lamb (Secretary - Treasurer) and Directors - Julian Boogeman, Dave Kampe, Nigle Lamb, Phil Rounds and Ben LeTourneau. (See photo below)
Originally the club had a vast network of trails in the Carmi, Apex and Chute Lake areas. Photographed on the right is one of the original club cabins previously located up Carmi. In the photo are Simone Wyles (current board member), father & brother. Sadly the cabin was lost in a fire in the late 1990's.
